This is a very inspirational Synthesizer by Urs Heckmann ( who, I recently found out, lives just a couple of streets away from me).
Urs is famous for his great commercial synths like "Zebra" and "Diva", absolutely great sounding synths, and this one, Zebralette, is somehow like a single oscillator version of "Zebra". Don't get confused by the term "single oscillator" - this one can sound really fat!
I'm not a big fan of programming and editing synthesizers with the mouse on a computer screen, but this one kept me up all night and I just couldn't stop trying out new sounds. I came up with many very nice sounding pads that mix very smoothly with acoustic sounds.
But it's not only great for atmospheric and pads, you can create all kinds of sounds with it, from analog to digital, it's very versatile.
Here's a pad sound I created and that pad sound inspired me to this song:

I will post some free Zebralette presets I created here on this website very soon. So make sure to check out the "Freebies" Section regularly.
I'm sure you are familiar with this one already. Another great synth that immediately became one of my favourites, mostly because of the great presets that come with it. Check out this little atmospheric news - logo I made using only TAL NOIzE maker and Zebralette:
- SoundMagic PianoOne
Incredibly good sounding and versatile free Piano with ridiculously low CPU usage. I even prefer this one over the StudioOne Piano, not only because unlike the Studio One Piano it doesnt take ages to load, but also because of its very fresh and brilliant sound. It emulates a Yamaha C7 grand.
